On February 17, 2026 we will sell 110 Angus bulls in Milton-Freewater, Oregon – we have designated 28 of these bulls as 5-star calving ease meaning they are completely heifer-safe bulls that should be extremely easy calving. There are a total of 63 bulls that are rated 3, 4 or 5 stars – 3-star bulls are safe for use on large-frame Angus or Hereford based heifers while 4-star calving ease are considered safe for use on all heifers, including those that have a lot of Simmental or Charolais influence however if your cowherd has a lot of birthweight and you want a sure-shot heifer bull, make sure you select 5-star bulls to use on those replacement heifers to get the low birthweight you are looking for.
